Right click
HighCad++ use right click anywere. Try to right click on drawing objects, blocks
libraries, command area, etc., a context sensitive menu will be showed. If in command mode
right-clicking in drawing area simulate an [ENTER].
Double Click
Double click on an entity show the properties dialog, on a free toolbar space show
the edit edit toolbar dialog.
Command Line Options
There are some options that can be passed by command line:
- -new open HighCad++ with a blank drawing.
- -last open the last opened drawing.
- filename open filename
You can add the desidered wanted parameter to the HighCad icon.
Drag & Drop
You can drag & drop (using the right button) one or more objects to copy, move
or link drawing entities (Windows 95 like).
If the right-clicked object is selected you will drag all the selected objects,
otherwise you will select the objects and will drag it.
Stopping Redrawing
Do you want to stop the redrawing process, the rendering, the vectorializer or
other? Press ^C (Control C) and the process will stop.
Coordinates
When HighCad ask a point (2d or 3d) you can answer with the special commands:
- @x,y[,z] to give a relative point.
- .x, .y, .z, .xy,
.xz, .yz filter the following point getting only the
specific components.
Try them.
Views
A drawing can have more view. Try to click on Window/Add View to add a view to your
drawing. Drawing are independent but you can drag & drop (using link, too) entities
from a view to another, so you can create a drawing with an house plan in a view, a garage
map in another view, and compose them (using link) in a third view.
Relative zoom
You can zoom (or unzoom) writing the relative scale as *2,
*5, *.2, etc.
Raster To Vector
To convert raster image to lines, arcs and circles right click on a image border.
Please note that you can trace only black and white images. However you can use the
To black and white command to convert the image before the tracing
process. |
